Project Background

MORPC is Central Ohio’s regional voice for transportation, sustainability, data, and growth. As the organization expanded, its identity needed to work harder—across public meetings, campaigns, social media, websites, wayfinding, and video—without losing the mark people already recognized.

The redesign keeps the original logo’s familiar regional geometry but rebuilds it as a more disciplined system. Consistent spacing, sharper alignments, and refined triangular forms give the mark a cleaner, more contemporary presence. An updated palette of deep blues, greens, and cyan adds energy and contrast while visually referencing land, water, movement, and connection.

Accessibility guided the system from the beginning. Color combinations were selected and tested for ADA-conscious contrast and color-blind readability, while typography, templates, and digital applications were designed for clarity across print and screen. The result is an identity that feels familiar but forward—more cohesive, more usable, and better equipped to represent a growing Central Ohio.
