A Creative Bridging Design and User Experience
In the evolving landscape of design and technology, I am driven by a passion for combining creativity and functionality. With seven years of experience as a Graphic Designer and a recent shift into UX Design, I seamlessly merge visual aesthetics with a user-centered approach to craft engaging and intuitive solutions.
My Journey as a Designer
My creative journey began with an early fascination for visual storytelling and branding, which laid the foundation for a robust career in graphic design. Over the years, I’ve developed skills in branding, project planning, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. Eager to evolve, I transitioned into UX Design a year ago, leveraging my graphic design background alongside research, user testing, and iterative design practices. Completing a UX certification from Springboard has enhanced my technical capabilities, and I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in User Experience Design to continue building my knowledge.
Experience and Achievements
I’ve had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients and organizations, including Bath & Body Works, the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC), COTA, the City of Dublin, and more. My professional background spans industries such as local government, non-profit organizations, international retail, and finance. One of my notable contributions was establishing new vendor relationships, leading to an average of 8-10% savings per project—a testament to my strategic approach to project management.
What I’m Proud Of
One of my proudest accomplishments was creating the branding for multiple MORPC events, including Trail Towns Central Ohio and LinkUs, which supported important regional initiatives. I’m excited to have played a part in projects that push Central Ohio forward.
My Toolbox
I’m proficient with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Maze, Framer, and Miro, and have experience with project management and communication platforms like Monday.com, Slack, and Microsoft Office products.
Outside of Work
Outside of work, I’m passionate about learning Japanese, traveling, and exploring new cultures. I enjoy unwinding by playing video games and watching anime, and I love reading about philosophy for new insights and inspiration. Looking ahead, I’m eager to keep growing in the UX Design field and build upon my skillset to create meaningful user experiences.
