Project Background

The Local Murder is an independent brewery built around the idea that good beer brings people together. The name draws from the term for a gathering of crows, giving the brand a sense of community with a slightly dark, memorable edge. For the identity, an angular crow was paired with a custom-drawn wordmark, using sharp cuts and irregular forms to create a bold, handcrafted visual language. Supporting hop and feather icons connect the crow motif to the brewing process, while a palette of warm yellow and deep brown references grain, malt and dark beer. The result is a modern brewery identity that feels local, communal and unmistakably its own.
